Hi! I'm Eamon!  I was born around St. Patrick's Day so I'm not quite a year old. I've got plenty of puppy energy but am super smart so I'm already learning a lot. I'm potty trained and even taught myself to ring a bell on the back door to let the humans know when I have to go out. They didn't even teach me to do it; my older foster siblings and I decided that was a better way of summoning them to open the door. I also know how to sit and lay down. I'm working on "stay" and coming when called- but those work a whole lot better when you have carrots or cookies in your hand!

I LOVE going on adventures on foot or in the car, but sometimes my foster parents say I get a little too excited and wiggly. We're working on it, but there's just so much to see and smell!  Sometimes when my foster parents have to go out without me and I notice that they're putting on coats and shoes, I'll go ahead and put myself in my crate and wait patiently for the cookie I know is coming my way. I just chew on my favorite toys and nap until they get home.

I love playing with my foster sister. We wrestle, chase, and play tug-of-war, but I also like to play alone outside with some of my favorite toys. When she gets tired, I can entertain myself by throwing and catching my own toys. I also like playing fetch with my foster parents and I am starting to catch Frisbees!

Even though I love playing, it wears me out. My second favorite thing is sleeping. I prefer to nap in style, and enjoy having a comfy pillow for my head- blankets help, too. I snuggle with my foster siblings and parents a lot, but sometimes when I'm really sleepy around 9 or 10 at night I'll put myself to bed and warm it up for my humans.

Guess what else I love...FOOD!! I know the words "hungry," "breakfast," and "dinner" (thanks, foster siblings!) and some of my favorite foods are cookies and carrots- both of which I know by name. I still sometimes get a little nervous eating around new people, so if you come near me when I'm eating I may back away from my food.

I love all other dogs- my foster mom says my only flaw is that I want to play with everyone and some dogs may not like that. I just don't understand how anyone wouldn't want to play with me! I don't just like dogs though- I also have a major crush on the cat that lives on my foster parents' porch. We stare at each other through the window, and when I see or hear her I get so excited that my whole body wiggles. We've met a few times and sniffed each other, but she's still not sure about me. It's ok though, I know my charm will win her over eventually. Kids are also super fun to play with. I love them all, but foster mom says that I still need to learn to be a little less energetic around the really little ones because they're not puppies- even though they're about my size. I'm still a little shy around adults because they're so much bigger than me- especially men. It takes me a little while to get used to people, but once I do- be prepared for the most magnificent butt wiggles that you have ever seen.

I'm really hoping to find my forever home soon!  I bet it's you...you should fill out an application so we can meet!
