My name is Lita.  I’m perfect and precious.  Everyone says so!
 
They tell me I’m around 7 years old.  But, seriously, age ain’t nothin’ but a number.  I have lots and lots of good play energy and the heart of a puppy.  I can keep up with the crazy young pups, too.  Foster Mama works with broken pups, ones who have had a rough time but are healing, and she has some older pups of her own who never learned how to play.  She said bringing me to her house was the easiest pack intro she’s ever done.  I knew they were different so I was gentle and patient.  We’re all good friends and I snuggle with them sometimes but they don’t know how to play.  I love to play!  I need to play!  I love chew toys and run through the house flinging them into the air but I’d really really like a canine sibling...or two...or four!
 
I am house trained and crate trained.  I love going on walks and car rides and following you from room to room, just in case you need some kisses.  I patiently sit and wait my turn for dinner and for treats.  I like strawberries and roasted sweet potatoes and zucchini and cheese.  I take them very gently from your hand.
 
I haven’t met a dog or person I didn’t immediately love and they love me, too.  Maybe because I’m not a bossy pants.  And I adore little kids!!  I know how to be gentle with them but I can rough house with the big dogs, too.
 
Foster Mama showed me if I touched the bells hanging on the doorknob, she would open the door.  I figured it out very quickly!  So now I ring the bells when I want to go outside.  I like being outside playing in the yard and chasing squirrels.
 
I do not like to be cold so I wear sweaters and dresses.  I can roll myself up in blankies, too, without any help.  Did I mention that I’m very smart?
 
But you know what my most favorite thing is?  Snuggling.  I want to be as close as possible when you sit on the couch.  I burrow under the covers to sleep right up against your legs.  And I give lots and lots and lots of gentle kisses.
